The West Haven Blue Devils basketball team scored 89 points and held the host Pomperaug Panthers to 70 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hamden for a Southern Connecticut - Quinnipiac contest on Tuesday, January 2. West Haven will meet a Green Dragons team coming off a 84-78 non-league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, CT). The Green Dragons record now stands at 3-2.

The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Lancers enter the Southwest contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Catholic was defeated by Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT), 49-45, in a non-league contest.
