The Western Hills Mustangs (Cincinnati, OH) basketball felled the host Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), 77-61 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Aiken (Cincinnati, OH). The Falcons go into the Cincinnati Metro test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Aiken was beaten by Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY), 69-57, in a non-league test.
The Lakers now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe County for a District 16 test on Tuesday, January 2. Russell County will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 105-66 non-league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN). The Falcons record now stands at 8-4.
