Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), 70-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Socorro upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Warriors travel to Magdalena (Magdalena, NM) to play the Steers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Steers go into the bout with a record of 9-1.

Next up, the Tigers play the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Taos will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 61-58 non-league win over Window Rock (Fort Defiance, AZ).
