Virginia High School Basketball - West Springfield knocked off by Thomas Stone

The Thomas Stone Cougars basketball team scored 65 points and held the host West Springfield Spartans to 47 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patuxent for a Southern Maryland contest on Friday, January 5. Thomas Stone will meet a Panthers team coming off a 59-51 non-league win over Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-5.
The Spartans (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Bruins enter the District 4 contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Lake Braddock was outscored by Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA), 74-53, in a non-league contest.
