Liberty Ranch Hawks (Galt, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA), 33-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty Ranch upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Calaveras (San Andreas, CA) to play the Red Hawks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Red Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Calaveras lost 53-50 in their recent non-league bout against Downey (Modesto, CA)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Woodland Wolves (Woodland, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Mesa Verde will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 54-48 non-league loss to Vacaville (Vacaville, CA).
