Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Adairsville Tigers (Adairsville, GA), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northwest Whitfield upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Phoenix come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Sonoraville won 56-46 in their recent non-league bout against Cartersville (Cartersville, GA)

Next up, the Tigers play the LaFayette Ramblers (LaFayette, GA) in a AAA Region 6 bout, on Friday, January 5. Adairsville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Ramblers come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 52-38 non-league win over Gordon Lee (Chickamauga, GA).
