The Apalachee Wildcats basketball team (Winder, GA), was overwhelmed 68-32 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Central Gwinnett Black Knights (Lawrenceville, GA)

The Black Knights now possess a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mill Creek for a AAAAAAA Region 8 battle on Friday, January 5. Central Gwinnett will confront a Hawks team coming off a 42-40 non-league loss to Springboro (Springboro, OH). The Hawks record now stands at 8-3.

The Wildcats (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Jackson County (Jefferson, GA). The Panthers come into the AAAAAA Region 8 battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, Jackson County was overwhelmed by Jefferson (Jefferson, GA), 59-43, in a non-league battle.
