Brandon Bulldogs (Brandon, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS), 55-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brandon upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to play the Warriors in a 7A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 7-9.

Next up, the Admirals play the Hancock Hawks (Kiln, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Gulfport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 15-0 record after their 34-31 non-league win over Booker T. Washington (Pensacola, FL).
