Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Broaddus Bulldogs (Broaddus, TX), 50-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Huntington upgrades its record to 20-5 on the season. The Red Devils host Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX) to play the Timberwolves in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 5. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Pineywoods Community Academy lost 66-40 in their recent non-league bout against Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the West Sabine Tigers (Pineland, TX) in a 2A Region III District 24 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Broaddus will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record.
