The Wellington Skyrockets basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Brownwood Lions to 34 in the Skyrockets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Skyrockets now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canadian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Wellington will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-32 non-league win over Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-3.
The Lions (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 4-17 record. In their last contest, Marble Falls ran past Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX), 42-35, in a non-league contest.
