Calvary Chapel Eagles (Santa Ana, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marlborough Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA), 69-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Chapel upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Fairmont Prep (Anaheim, CA) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Fairmont Prep won 65-47 in their recent non-league bout against Glendora (Glendora, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Alemany Warriors (Mission Hills, CA) in a Mission bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Marlborough will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 67-49 non-league loss to South Pasadena (South Pasadena, CA).
