The Drew Central Pirates basketball team (Monticello, AR), was nudged 43-41 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR)
The Wildcats now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ouachita for a 2A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Rison will battle a Warriors team coming off a 58-39 non-league win over Caddo Hills (Norman, AR). The Warriors record now stands at 17-7.
The Pirates (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Dumas (Dumas, AR). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region 8 battle with a 13-3 record.
