With the victory, Eastland improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX) to confront the Buckaroos in a 3A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Buckaroos come into the challenge with a record of 5-18. Breckenridge won 51-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Spur (Spur, TX)

Next up, the Angoras confront the Roscoe Plowboys (Roscoe, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Rocksprings will attempt to improve on its 19-4 season record. The Plowboys come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 43-25 non-league win over New Deal (New Deal, TX).
