The Sacred Heart Irish basketball team (Falls City, NE), was toppled 38-30 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Freeman Falcons (Adams, NE)

The Falcons now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Syracuse for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 30. Freeman will confront a Rockets team coming off a 60-45 non-league win over McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE). The Rockets record now stands at 5-3.

The Irish (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (Bruning, NE). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was toppled by Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE), 46-34, in a non-league battle.
