Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grace Community upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to Legacy Christian Academy (Frisco, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a TAPPS 5A District 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Legacy Christian Academy won 62-6 in their recent league bout against Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Spring Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 57-52 league loss to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX).
