Trimble County Raiders (Bedford, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Trimble County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Raiders travel to Walton-Verona (Walton, KY) to clash with the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Harrison County Thorobreds (Cynthiana, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Holmes will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Thorobreds go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 62-40 non-league loss to Switzerland County (Vevay, IN).
