The Mountain View Yellowjackets basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Jasper Pirates to 49 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoxie for a 3A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Mountain View will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 53-28 non-league loss to Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-10.
The Pirates (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Omaha (Omaha, AR). The Eagles enter the 1A Region 1 East contest with a 6-10 record.
