Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Salle Falcons (Milwaukie, OR) and the visiting Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), saw La Salle's basketball squad hold off Mountainside by a count of 43-36.

With the victory, La Salle upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Putnam (Milwaukie, OR) to play the Kingsmen in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Kingsmen come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Putnam won 66-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Century (Hillsboro, OR)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Mountain View Cougars (Bend, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Mountainside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 45-35 non-league win over Liberty (Hillsboro, OR).
