Meigs County Tigers (Decatur, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors (Fort Oglethorpe, GA), 64-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Meigs County upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN) to play the Bears in a 2A District 3 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 9-4.

Next up, the Warriors play the Red Bank Lions (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 62-29 non-league loss to Rhea County (Evensville, TN).
