Nebraska High School Basketball - Syracuse fells McCool Junction

December 29, 2023: McCool Junction, NE 68401

Syracuse Rockets (Syracuse, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE), 60-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Syracuse upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Rockets travel to Freeman (Adams, NE) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Freeman won 38-30 in their recent non-league bout against Sacred Heart (Falls City, NE)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders (Nelson, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. McCool Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 76-15 non-league loss to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE).
