The Monroe Hornets basketball team (Monroe, OH), was nudged 44-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Middletown Middies (Middletown, OH)

The Middies now possess a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairfield for a Greater Miami battle on Wednesday, January 3. Middletown will confront a Indians team coming off a 55-46 non-league loss to Badin (Hamilton, OH). The Indians record now stands at 4-6.

The Hornets (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton-Massie (Clarksville, OH). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Clinton-Massie edged Blanchester (Blanchester, OH), 51-25, in a non-league battle.
