Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting O'Brien RVT Condors (Ansonia, CT), 48-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shepaug Valley upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Spartans host Terryville (Terryville, CT) to play the Kangaroos in a Berkshire bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Kangaroos go into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Condors play the Platt RVT Panthers (Milford, CT) in a Connecticut Technical bout, on Wednesday, January 3. O'Brien RVT will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
