Tennessee High School Basketball - Pickens thwarts Shelbyville Central

The Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) basketball knocked off the host Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles (Shelbyville, TN), 49-36 in Friday's non-league test.

The Dragons (14-0) will now prepare for their test against Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Lipscomb Academy notched a victory over Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL), 57-53, in a non-league test.

The Golden Eagles now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Tullahoma for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. Shelbyville Central will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 45-19 non-league loss to Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-8.
