Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Royse City Bulldogs (Royse City, TX) and the host West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX), saw Royse City's basketball squad overcome West Oso by a tally of 54-45.

With the victory, Royse City improves its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to confront the Skeeters in a 6A Region II District 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Skeeters come into the challenge with a record of 23-4. Mesquite won 69-45 in their recent non-league challenge against University (Waco, TX)

Next up, the Bears confront the Rockport-Fulton Pirates (Rockport, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. West Oso will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record.
