Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Palestine Bulldogs (East Palestine, OH), 35-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Springfield upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers host Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the McKinley Trojans (Sebring, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. East Palestine will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
