The Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) basketball knocked off the host Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC), 41-31 in Friday's non-league test.
The Warriors (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Denbigh (Newport News, VA). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record.
The Cougars now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sanderson for a non-league test on Friday, January 5. Wake Forest will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 41-38 non-league win over Cary (Cary, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-8.
