In Sunday's non-league contest, the host Lexington Wildcats basketball team scored a close 59-55 win over the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets.
The Wildcats (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Cardinal Newman edged Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC), 63-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Diamond Hornets battle the White Knoll Timberwolves (Lexington, SC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6.
