The Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) basketball edged the visiting Wright Tech Warriors (Stamford, CT), 42-40 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Red Raiders (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines come into the Naugatuck Valley 3 challenge with a 0-2 record.
The Warriors now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Guilford for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 30. Wright Tech will meet a Grizzlies squad coming off a 67-45 league loss to Xavier (Middletown, CT). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-3.
