Providence Pioneers (Clarksville, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Borden Braves (Borden, IN), 35-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Providence upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Lanesville (Lanesville, IN) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Lanesville lost 55-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Paoli (Paoli, IN)

Next up, the Braves confront the South Central Rebels (Elizabeth, IN) in a Southern challenge, on Friday, December 9. Borden will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 83-46 non-league loss to South Spencer (Rockport, IN).
