Edmeston Central Panthers (Edmeston, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Canajoharie Cougars (Canajoharie, NY), 41-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Edmeston Central upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Sharon Springs Central (Sharon Springs, NY) to play the Spartans in a Section 4 Tri-Valley bout on Thursday, December 8. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Sharon Springs Central won 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Heatly (Troy, NY)

Next up, the Cougars play the Fort Plain Hilltoppers (Fort Plain, NY) in a Section 2 Western - Mohawk bout, on Wednesday, December 7. Canajoharie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 71-28 non-league loss to South Kortright Central (South Kortright, NY).
