Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL), 68-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pleasant Plains upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cardinals host Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL) to play the Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 0-6.
