Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Shikellamy Braves (Sunbury, PA), 64-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hughesville upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Northumberland Christian (Northumberland, PA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Northumberland Christian won 61-59 in their recent non-league bout against Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA)

Next up, the Braves play the Mifflin County Huskies (Lewistown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Shikellamy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
