Texas High School Basketball - IDEA Weslaco Pike ripped by Vela

The Vela Sabercats basketball team scored 70 points and held the host IDEA Weslaco Pike to 36 in the Sabercats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Sabercats now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corpus Christi Moody for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Vela will battle a Trojans team coming off a 52-48 non-league win over Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 3-5.

The (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, TX). The Warriors enter the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Santa Rosa triumphed over Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX), 60-57, in a non-league contest.
