In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Merrill Bluejays basketball team scored a tight 42-41 triumph over the La Crescent Lancers.
In their next game, the Bluejays meet the Wausau West Warriors (Wausau, WI) in a Wisconsin Valley match, on Friday, December 9. Merrill will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
With the defeat, La Crescent moves to 0-1 on the year. The Lancers travel to Triton (Dodge Center, MN) to meet the Cobras in a AA Section 1 match on Monday, December 5.
