Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Oswego East Wolves (Oswego, IL), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln-Way East upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Crete-Monee (Crete, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Crete-Monee lost 61-36 in their recent league bout against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL)

Next up, the Wolves play the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Oswego East will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Foxes come into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 68-34 non-league win over Plano (Plano, IL).
