Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Zanesville Blue Devils (Zanesville, OH), 64-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newark upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Olentangy Berlin (Delaware, OH) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Olentangy Berlin won 62-57 in their recent league bout against Olentangy (Lewis Center, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Utica Redskins (Utica, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 7. Zanesville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Redskins come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 70-49 non-league win over Gilead Christian (Mount Gilead, OH).
