Southridge Skyhawks (Beaverton, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oregon City Pioneers (Oregon City, OR), 58-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southridge upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Skyhawks host Aloha (Beaverton, OR) to play the Warriors in a 6A Metro bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Pioneers play the McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Oregon City will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
