The Wood River Wolverines basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Rockland Bulldogs to 46 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wolverines now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Twin Falls for a 4A Great Basin contest on Tuesday, December 6. Wood River will battle a Bruins team coming off a 63-39 non-league win over Union (Roosevelt, UT). The Bruins record now stands at 1-1.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Taylor's Crossing (Idaho Falls, ID). The enter the 1A Rocky Mountain contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Taylor's Crossing was nudged by Leadore (Leadore, ID), 49-26, in a league contest.
