In Saturday's non-league outing, the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) basketball squad edged the host Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), by a count of 77-72.

The Commanders (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY). The Eagles/Banshees go into the District 19 outing with a 1-0 record.

The Spartans now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Louisville Collegiate for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. Sayre will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 57-46 non-league win over Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY). The Titans record now stands at 1-1.
