The Spooner Rails basketball team (Spooner, WI), was overwhelmed 82-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Somerset Spartans (Somerset, WI)

The Spartans now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baldwin-Woodville for a Middle Border battle on Tuesday, December 6.

The Rails (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hayward (Hayward, WI). The Hurricanes come into the Heart O'North battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Hayward was overwhelmed by Northwestern (Maple, WI), 74-36, in a league battle.
