Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) and the host Anton Bulldogs (Anton, TX), saw New Deal's basketball squad knock off Anton by a count of 48-32.

With the victory, New Deal upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Abernathy (Abernathy, TX) to play the Antelopes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Abernathy won 37-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Spur (Spur, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX) in a 1A Region I District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Anton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
