Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), 26-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Battle Mountain upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV) to play the Serpents in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Serpents go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Mineral County lost 67-17 in their recent non-league bout against Pershing County (Lovelock, NV)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Incline Highlanders (Incline Village, NV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Smith Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 56-5 non-league loss to Churchill County (Fallon, NV).
