The Kermit Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Buena Vista Longhorns to 19 in the Yellow Jackets non-league victory on Saturday.

With the victory, Kermit upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Bowie (El Paso, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 8. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Bowie lost 31-18 in their recent league challenge against Austin (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Buena Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 63-29 non-league win over Permian (Odessa, TX).
