Georgia High School Basketball - Pickens overwhelms Darlington

December 3, 2022: Jasper, GA 30143

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the visiting Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA), saw Pickens's basketball squad wallop Darlington by a count of 62-40.

With the victory, Pickens upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Dragons host Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to confront the Bobcats in a AAA Region 7 battle on Tuesday, December 6. The Bobcats come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Gilmer lost 62-40 in their recent non-league battle against North Hall (Gainesville, GA)

The Tigers (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pepperell (Lindale, GA). The Dragons come into the A D1 Region 7 battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Pepperell trounced Unity Christian (Rome, GA), 48-39, in a non-league battle.
