Dover Pirates (Dover, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, AR), 53-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dover upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Pirates host Maumelle Charter (Maumelle, AR) to clash with the Falcons in a 3A Region 5 bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Maumelle Charter lost 55-24 in their recent non-league bout against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Hector Wildcats (Hector, AR) in a 2A Region 4 bout, on Saturday, December 10. Mansfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 60-31 non-league win over Danville (Danville, AR).
