The Ferris Saxons basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Moses Lake Mavericks to 53 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Saxons now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6.
The Mavericks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Walla Walla (Walla Walla, WA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Walla Walla was nudged by Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA), 60-49, in a non-league contest.
