Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN), 60-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Irondale upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Hastings (Hastings, MN) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Hawks play the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Hermantown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI).
