The Texas City Stingarees basketball team (Texas City, TX), was overwhelmed 39-12 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX)

The Eagles now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host The Woodlands for a 6A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, December 6. New Caney will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 49-39 non-league win over Jordan (Fulshear, TX). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-11.

The Stingarees (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hitchcock (Hitchcock, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Hitchcock trounced Iowa Colony (Arcola, TX), 60-28, in a non-league battle.
