In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Appleton North Lightning basketball team scored a close 77-72 triumph over the Bay Port Pirates.
The Lightning (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI). The Papermakers go into the Fox Valley contest with a 0-1 record.
In their next game, the Pirates confront the Fond du Lac Cardinals (Fond du Lac, WI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Bay Port will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 62-57 non-league loss to Brookfield East (Brookfield, WI).
