In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Ellsworth Panthers basketball team scored a close 66-62 triumph over the Black River Falls Tigers.
The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against St. Croix Central (Hammond, WI). The Panthers go into the Middle Border contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, St. Croix Central was tipped by Stanley-Boyd (Stanley, WI), 59-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Arcadia Raiders (Arcadia, WI) in a Coulee contest, on Thursday, December 5. Black River Falls will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 65-62 non-league loss to Elk Mound (Elk Mound, WI).
